Download Youtube Music is a music and video downloader. It can be used to download MP3 audio files and MP4 video files from YouTube. The application can connect to YouTube.com and download a video, and then convert it to either an MP3 or MP4 file. If you convert it to MP3, then the video will be discarded and you will get an MP3 file that will be playable on any device.

Download YouTube Music asks you for a YouTube URL to start the process. It will automatically detect if an URL is present in the clipboard. So, basically, all you have to do is go to YouTube, find the song that you want, and then copy the URL from the address bar. If you want to download only the music of the video, there are a few advanced options (well, they are not too advanced, though): they allow you to set the bit rate of the file and to manually type in the title, artist, and album and to select the genre from a drop-down list.

The downloads were fast for me and the quality of the songs was exactly the same as the YouTube videos. The trial version of this downloader will only convert 50% of your files, which will get you half a song. Still, it allows you to test the product thoroughly.
